Challenge
The Lakeside mall was seeking a novel way to increase foot traffic in the mall through an enthralling and delighting installation.
Solution
Digital Mist is part art installation, part water fountain, and part architectural sculpture. A computer vision system tracks the movement of people through the space and the fountain reacts to their presence, generating dynamic patterns and lighting combinations. The water curtain parts when a user gets too close, preventing them from getting wet.
